How to not appear overeager in a relationship |
1) Be rational enough to understand your own behaviour. This means
that you can change it when you want to.
2) Remember, it is perfectly natural to obsess about a new partner.
But be your normal self when you meet them. Show them that you are
a normal person with a life and interests and that you have friends
to see and things to do.
3) Just don't call them very often and sometimes when they call
you, pretend to be busy. Uncertainity is the greatest aphrodisiac
in the world.
4) Overeagerness scares any sane person away. So even if you meet
someone you'd like to have a relationship with, don't pursue them
relentlessly. An organic relationship needs to develop. Just think
of it this way - he or she is not about to leave the planet.
5) The best way to calm yourself down is to consider dating as
a mathematical equation. Every time you resist calling your bloke,
you get a point.
6) Read Mars and Venus on a Date by John Grey. Learn never to try
and rush to the next level. You can have sex with your partner whenever
you like, just don't tell him you love him/want to marry him.
