1) Do not cry in front of him/her. Hug, say goodbye, wish luck with life, and leave with grace.
2) Go to your best friends for a shoulder to cry on. They will be able to make you laugh and say all the right things to make you feel better.
3) Don't hesitate to cry... have a long good cry.
4) Cut off all contact with him/her for at least a month; this will help the healing process because you won't be talking to him/her all the time.
