How to get your partner to be more affectionate |
1) Just tell them you need more affection. Express exactly how you feel when they leave home without even giving you a peck on the cheek - lonely, frustrated and sad.
2) Try to be more affectionate, instead of withdrawing affectionate gestures in retaliation. They might realise that just as they feel loved when you display your feelings, you also need to feel the same way.
3) If your partner only wants sex and does not cuddle outside the bedroom, try saying that sex without affection doesn't feel good to you, and that you're not satisfied. That usually jolts a partner into being cuddlier.
4) If your partner is more comfortable during lovemaking, try to show them at that time how you'd like to be treated even when you're not. It comes as a pleasent surprise for shy people when someone gets a point across without them having to talk about it.
5) Surprise your partner with gifts, dates or holidays. Take your partner out for a long drive. It's always good to add some fun in the relationship, listen to your partner's heart. Understanding what your partner likes or dislikes will help you to be more affectionate towards him/her. Sex and love are different so keep a balance of both.
6) The idea is to keep your relationship alive by making little gestures of affection. For this, it is important that you find things to do as a couple that you can both enjoy each other's company. A touch, a lingering kiss, smoothing his/her hair... are all gestures of affection.
